Description
Our IMMUNITY protocol consists of Telomerase PLUS and Vitamin C.
Telomerase is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in protecting our cells from senescence and disease. It maintains the integrity of DNA by being responsible for the regeneration of telomeres, the ends of chromosomes that shorten with age and are associated with many age-related diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and neurodegenerative diseases.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for many body functions. It acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from free radical damage. Vitamin C is also important for collagen synthesis, wound healing, iron absorption and immune health. Vitamin C is not synthesised by the body, so a daily intake is essential.
Properties of Telomerase and Vitamin C may include :
- Slowing down cellular ageing: Telomerase helps maintain telomere length, maintaining DNA integrity and slowing down cellular ageing to prevent certain diseases associated with senescence such as heart disease, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.
- Strengthening the immune system: Vitamin C is essential for the production of white blood cells, which help fight infection and disease, and telomerase intake improves immune function, helping to prevent disease and infection.
- Reduced inflammation: Telomerase helps to reduce inflammation in the body, which can reduce the risk of inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and Crohn’s disease.
- Antioxidant action: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals, unstable molecules that can damage cells and cause disease.
- Improved cardiovascular health: Vitamin C helps reduce inflammation and the build-up of cholesterol plaques in the arteries, which can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and contribute to cardiovascular health.
